Amazon MGM Unveils Plans for Expanded UK Film Studios

Amazon MGM Studios has announced plans to expand its operations at Bray Film Studios in Berkshire, UK. The proposed expansion includes building a multi-storey car park and six new sound stages, which would help 'realise the site's full potential,' according to Amazon MGM.

The project aims to create 470 jobs during construction and an additional 920 in the local community once completed. This is seen as a significant boost for filmmaking in the UK, with the British Film Commission (BFC) welcoming the expansion plans.

'The enhancements proposed for Bray Studios will not only allow the region to build on its already established and impressive reputation amongst international clients,' said Samantha Perahia, head of production at the BFC. The planning application is currently under review, with a decision expected later.
