Amazon Now Expands to 120+ Indian Cities Ahead of Festival
Amazon has significantly expanded its Amazon Now ultra-fast delivery service to over 120 cities in India, doubling its reach in just two weeks. The company is gearing up for the Great Indian Festival, set to begin on October 8, 2026. New cities added to the service include Amritsar, Mangalore, Visakhapatnam, Kochi, and Bhubaneswar, among others. Amazon Now now offers tens of thousands of products across various categories, including groceries, fashion, and home essentials, supported by nearly 800 micro-fulfilment and urban fulfilment centres.
The service has seen rapid growth, with orders doubling every quarter. Harsh Goyal, Vice President - Everyday Essentials at Amazon India, stated, "We are delighted to take ultra-fast deliveries with Amazon Now to India's hinterland... ahead of the Amazon Great Indian Festival." He also mentioned that Amazon Now is the fastest-growing e-commerce business unit in Amazon India's history.
Amazon plans to extend the service to more than 300 cities, aiming to build India's largest 'delivery-in-minutes' network. The company's wider fulfilment network already supports different delivery timelines, including same-day and next-day delivery options. Additionally, Amazon Now will feature deals during the Great Indian Festival, with offers on smartphones, electronics, fashion, and beauty products.
Customers using SBI credit and debit cards can get a 10% instant discount on eligible transactions, while Prime members can receive additional savings of up to 10%. To check availability, customers can look for the 'Now' banner on the Amazon shopping app.
