Amazon Offers Tool to Verify Suspicious Messages and Calls

Amazon has introduced a new way for consumers to verify suspicious messages and calls that appear to come from the company. With fake alerts and messages flooding inboxes and text messages, Amazon is providing a tool to help users determine if a communication is legitimate.

The company advises users to open the Amazon app and navigate to 'Alexa for Shopping.' From there, they can ask if Amazon actually sent an email or made a phone call. Alternatively, users can forward any suspicious email to verify@amazon.com for verification.

This move comes as scams involving impersonation of well-known companies, including Amazon, have become more prevalent. The new feature aims to give consumers a straightforward method to check the authenticity of communications they receive.
