Amazon Poised to Overtake Combined Value of Tesla and SpaceX by 2030
Amazon's market value currently lags behind that of Tesla and SpaceX combined. However, according to projections, Amazon is expected to surpass them by 2030. As of now, Amazon's market cap stands at $2.8 trillion, while the combined market cap of Tesla and SpaceX is around $3.3 trillion.
When considering enterprise value, accounting for net debt positions, the valuation gap narrows slightly, with Amazon falling short of the combined entity by approximately $0.2 trillion. Despite this, analysts predict that Amazon's growth will continue to outpace that of Tesla and SpaceX in the coming years.
In 2026, Amazon is projected to generate a net income of $133 billion on net sales of $828 billion, with a significant portion of its revenue coming from its cloud-hosting business, Amazon Web Services (AWS). Meanwhile, Tesla and SpaceX are expected to combine for $5 billion in earnings on $151 billion in revenue.
By 2030, the tables may turn as Tesla and SpaceX's growth accelerates, with combined net income projected at $151 billion and revenue at $636 billion. However, Amazon is still expected to maintain its lead in terms of profitability and revenue.
