Amazon is pouring $1.9 billion into its Delivery Service Partner program in 2027, aiming to boost driver pay and safety measures.

The investment represents a nearly $24 per hour national average for delivery drivers, a 16% increase over the past three years, according to Amazon's latest figures.

The company attributed the decline in serious vehicle crashes across its delivery network - down more than 23% last year - to safety investments totaling over $543 million since 2022 and leadership from delivery service partner owners.
