Amazon Price Hikes Amid Memory Cost Surge
Amazon's (AMZN) stock is trending higher as the company raises retail prices for hardware devices, including Fire TV and Echo products. The price increases, which can reach up to 60%, are attributed to rising memory costs.
An Amazon spokesperson stated that promotional offers will continue to be launched on an irregular basis.
This move follows similar actions by Apple and Microsoft, with industry experts predicting that the memory shortage will persist until 2027, leading to further price increases for DRAM chips.
