Amazon Prime Air 767 Crashes in Miami After Overrunning Runway

A Boeing 767-300 freighter operating for Amazon Prime Air overran a runway at Miami International Airport on September 6, crossing the airport perimeter and striking several vehicles before catching fire.

The aircraft, N1997A, was operating 21 Air Flight 7598 from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and landed in Miami at about 1:53 p.m. local time.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the 767 overran the runway after landing and said it will investigate the accident.

More than 60 fire-rescue units were sent to the scene, and authorities initially reported multiple patients but had not released the number of people injured or their conditions.
