Amazon Prime Air Boeing 767 Crashes at Miami International Airport
National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chair Jennifer Homendy described the crash scene of an Amazon Prime Air Boeing 767 as 'utter devastation'.
The incident occurred on Sunday at 1:53 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time at Miami International Airport, where the aircraft overran the runway and struck navigational aids and a white Ford van with seven occupants.
The plane also collided with a Toyota Corolla, traveling 1,300 feet past the paved surface before crashing.
Homendy stated that the NTSB will probe the 'operations and human performance' of the flight, as well as the history of the accident flight, including the crew's experience and training, and the policies and procedures of 21Air LLC, which operated the aircraft for Amazon.
