Amazon Prime Settlement Updated: Eligible Customers to Receive Up to $200 in Refunds
A $2.5 billion Amazon Prime settlement has been updated to give eligible customers a larger payout and easier access to refunds.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced that more consumers will qualify for refunds, with the maximum payment increased from $51 to $200 per claimant.
Originally, customers had to submit a valid claim by July 27, 2026, but under the revised order, no action is needed to receive a refund. Payments will be sent automatically via Venmo, PayPal, or a mailed check.
The update affects Amazon members who used fewer than 10 Prime benefits during a one-year period and unintentionally enrolled through certain challenged enrollment flows.
