Amazon Puts $3 Billion Behind India Quick-Commerce Bet
Amazon is making a significant bet on India's quick-commerce market by investing $3 billion in its Amazon Now business.
The investment will be divided into two phases: $1 billion by the end of 2027 and another $2 billion by 2030, according to Reuters.
A major part of this spending will go towards expanding Amazon Now's network of small neighborhood warehouses in India.
This move aims to shorten delivery times and compete directly with companies like Walmart-owned Flipkart, which has a head start in the market.
