Amazon Raises Pay and Benefits for US Operations Employees
Amazon has expanded its employee compensation package across all US operations, increasing minimum starting pay for full-time core operations roles to $20 per hour nationwide.
The change affects hundreds of thousands of employees and brings average hourly pay near $24, with total compensation exceeding $32 per hour when including estimated benefits.
In addition to the pay increase, Amazon is introducing banking services through Day 1 Financial, which will provide lifetime access to checking and savings accounts for qualified workers and their families.
Furthermore, all US employees will receive a 10% discount on eligible groceries and everyday essentials purchased through Amazon.com or Whole Foods Market online, as well as 20% off qualifying in-store purchases at Whole Foods.
