Amazon Raises US Core Operations Salaries to $20 per Hour

Amazon has raised the minimum starting wage for its core operations staff in the US to $20 per hour, effective immediately.

The e-commerce giant also introduced two new benefits: a lifetime banking benefit and grocery discounts. The company's Senior Vice President, Udit Madan, emphasized that these initiatives are part of Amazon's annual assessment of pay and benefits.

Average hourly compensation for eligible core operations personnel is expected to approach nearly $24, while total average compensation, including benefits, will surpass $32 per hour.
