Amazon Refreshes Kindle E-Reader Lineup Ahead of 20th Anniversary
Amazon has launched an entirely new collection of Kindle e-readers to commemorate its 20th anniversary. The company has refreshed its entire lineup, introducing new designs and colors. The new Kindles include a basic Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, Kindle Colorsoft, and Kindle Kids versions of each.
The new Kindles feature various design upgrades, including a more flush front display and new materials. The devices are thinner and lighter than ever before, with the new base Kindle measuring just 6.8mm and weighing a mere 140 grams. It is also available in an aluminum finish for the first time, priced at $189.99.
The Paperwhite and Signature Edition models offer advanced features such as adaptive front lighting and 32GB of storage. The Colorsoft model provides more paper-like color with a glare-free display. All devices are thinner and lighter than their predecessors.
