Amazon Secures £4.25 Billion in Multi-Tranche Sterling Bond Sale
Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) has successfully closed a massive multi-tranche sterling bond sale worth £4.25 billion to bolster its capital structure.
The e-commerce and cloud giant completed four separate tranches of notes: £1.25 billion of 5.200% notes due 2029, £1 billion of 5.550% notes due 2032, £1 billion of 6.250% notes due 2038, and £1 billion of 6.650% notes due 2045.
The notes carry coupon rates ranging from 5.200% to 6.650%, providing Amazon with a diversified debt maturity profile.
This multi-tranche sterling-denominated bond issuance reflects Amazon's continued access to international debt markets and its ability to secure long-term financing across a range of maturities.
