Amazon Sees Increased Institutional Interest Amid AWS Disruption
Trillium Asset Management LLC has acquired a new position in Amazon.com Inc. shares, purchasing 3,497 shares valued at approximately $833,000 during the second quarter.
This is not the only instance of institutional investors taking an interest in AMZN. Longfellow Investment Management Co. LLC bought a new stake in Amazon.com worth around $33,000 in the same period, while MilWealth Group LLC increased its holdings by 79% and Prudent Man Investment Management Inc. boosted its stake by 87.7% during the fourth quarter.
AWS experienced some disruption due to the Iran conflict, which caused damage to a facility in Bahrain and an availability zone in UAE. This has raised concerns about data recovery, customer trust, and potential financial consequences for Amazon.
