Amazon Sees Significant Institutional Buying Amid India Expansion
Redwood Investment Management LLC has acquired a new stake in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) during the second quarter. According to its most recent disclosure with the SEC, the institutional investor bought 33,545 shares of Amazon's stock, valued at approximately $7,995,000.
This represents about 0.8% of Redwood Investment Management LLC's portfolio, making it the company's 21st biggest position. In addition to this new stake, other institutional investors have also been buying or selling shares in Amazon.com during the second quarter.
Amazon announced a plan to invest approximately $3 billion in India's quick-commerce market through 2030, expanding its Amazon Now delivery network. This investment could strengthen Amazon's position in a rapidly growing market, although its current share is only about 6.2%.
