Amazon Sets Sights on India's Quick-Commerce Market with $3 Billion Push
Amazon plans to invest $3 billion in its quick-commerce business in India by 2030, according to Reuters. The e-commerce giant aims to expand Amazon Now, its rapid-delivery service, with a target of reaching 1,300 stores by April 2027.
The bulk of the investment will go towards expanding Amazon Now and tightening inventory management and AI-driven demand forecasting, the sources told Reuters.
Amazon currently holds just 6.2% of India's quick-commerce market, dominated by Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, with Blinkit controlling around 46-50% of the market.
