Amazon Starts Issuing Automatic Settlement Payments Worth Up To $200
Amazon has begun issuing settlement payments to eligible customers as part of a $2.5 billion agreement reached in September 2025.
The Federal Trade Commission announced that Amazon will accelerate and expand payments under the original order, which required the company to pay up to $1.5 billion in redress to consumers harmed by its deceptive practices.
As of September 2026, Amazon has issued over $845 million in payments to consumers, with more than $200 million remaining to be paid out.
The revised order raises the maximum payment cap from $51 to $200 and includes millions of additional consumers who used between 11 to 20 Prime benefits in a one-year period.
Affected customers will receive their payments automatically via electronic payment or mailed check, eliminating the need for claims or paperwork.
