Amazon Stock Rises Amid AI Ecosystem Expansion
Amazon's stock price is steady in premarket trading, climbing about 1% as investors enter the market with a neutral risk appetite. The Nasdaq futures are down 0.01%, while S&P 500 futures have gained 0.11%. This stability in the market comes as Amazon expands its AI shopping ecosystem and takes steps to protect its customers' data.
The company has blocked Meta's Muse AI agent from accessing Amazon.com, citing a requirement for automated systems to identify themselves and stop using its services when requested. Meanwhile, Amazon is integrating Rufus and Alexa+ into a new service called Alexa for Shopping, which can compare products, track prices, build shopping carts, and automate purchases.
Amazon has also challenged Perplexity AI over its Comet shopping agent, alleging unauthorized access to customer accounts. The company's technical analysis shows that Amazon is trading near key decision zones, with the stock hovering just above its 20-day, 50-day, and 100-day simple moving averages, all clustered around $255-$256.
