Amazon Stock Rises as AI Ads Agent Drives Optimism
Amazon's stock price rose 0.8% to $253.41 on October 6, according to TradingView. The increase came as the company's push into AI-driven advertising kept Cantor Fitzgerald optimistic about its future performance.
Cantor Fitzgerald maintained its Overweight rating and $320 price target for Amazon, suggesting a potential 26.3% upside from its current valuation. The firm's analysis placed Amazon's stock just 1.26% above its estimated fair value of $250.26.
The company recently introduced Amazon Ads Agent, a unified platform designed to streamline advertising campaigns. The tool allows advertisers to use AI for campaign planning and optimization, or retain manual control. Full-Funnel Campaigns, part of this platform, reportedly delivered 67% higher long-term returns on advertising spending and 29% lower costs to acquire new customers.
While the initial test results are promising, the long-term investment case hinges on broader adoption and sustained advertising growth. Easier campaign setup could attract smaller businesses and encourage existing customers to spend more, but better advertiser returns do not guarantee higher profits for Amazon. Investors will be watching for evidence of these outcomes in the coming months.
