Amazon Stock Rises as Company Seals $8 Billion Generator Deal
Amazon's stock rose by 1% on Friday as the company announced several key developments. The stock traded as high as $255.43 and last traded at $253.71, with a total of 51,892,744 shares changing hands.
The increase in trading volume was up 9% from the average daily volume of 47,392,207 shares. This comes after Amazon agreed to purchase backup generators from Generac Holdings under a long-term arrangement valued at up to $8 billion.

The deal includes approximately $2.4 billion of expected deliveries in 2027 and 2028, aimed at securing reliable power for AWS data centers and reducing delays caused by strained utility grids.
