Amazon Subcontractor ThreeC Logistics Closes Colonie Warehouse

ThreeC Logistics, an Amazon subcontractor, is shutting down its operations at a Colonie distribution hub. The decision affects 78 workers who will lose their jobs on November 11th.

The warehouse on Mustang Drive is used by Amazon for deliveries and is one of several contractors known as delivery service partners that handle these tasks. An average starting wage for drivers in this area is $23 to $25 per hour, according to online want ads.

ThreeC Logistics is based in Suffern, Rockland County, and was notified of the closure in August. The state Labor Department published a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) on Wednesday. Amazon has 4,400 delivery service partners worldwide that employ 390,000 people across 20 countries.
