A proposed nationwide class action lawsuit has been filed against Amazon, alleging widespread discrimination against pregnant employees.

The complaint, filed by four former warehouse employees, claims that Amazon routinely denied pregnant workers basic accommodations such as bathroom and water breaks, chairs, or time off for prenatal appointments.

The plaintiffs also allege that Amazon threatened and regularly fired its pregnant employees who missed too much work, and illegally demanded medical documentation from employees seeking accommodations.

A spokesperson for Amazon disputed the claims, stating that the company provides pregnancy-related accommodations to tens of thousands of employees each year, with more than 99.9% of those requests approved in the last year.
