Amazon Sued Over Fatal Cargo Plane Crash at Miami International Airport
A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Amazon and its affiliated companies following a fatal cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport. The lawsuit alleges multiple failures contributed to the death of Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, who was killed when an Amazon Air Flight overran a runway on Sunday.
The complaint names Amazon Inc., Amazon Air Cargo, 21 Air LLC, and other related companies involved in operating the aircraft as defendants. It also lists pilots Joseph Carroll and Jaime Felipe Silva Molina among those responsible for the crash.
The lawsuit alleges pilot error, inadequate training, and the use of a 32-year-old aircraft were all contributing factors to the crash.
