Amazon Suspends Partnership with Cargo Carrier After Fatal Crash

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has suspended its partnership with cargo carrier 21 Air following a fatal crash on September 6 at Miami International Airport.

The Boeing 767 operated by 21 Air overshot the runway, resulting in the deaths of five people on the ground.

Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel stated that the company had 'spent time supporting the investigation and reviewing some of the surrounding circumstances' before deciding to pause operations with 21 Air.

The decision allows Amazon to limit further operational and reputational risk while investigators continue their probe.

Amazon's air cargo network will be filled by other carriers during this period, providing continuity for the company's logistics needs.
