Amazon Taps Kathryn Hahn for Humorous Grocery Delivery Ads
Amazon has launched a new ad campaign for its grocery delivery service, starring actress Kathryn Hahn in humorous spots. The ads aim to highlight the ways Amazon can save shoppers money, with Hahn delivering her signature deadpan humor as she navigates various grocery demands.
The 'Spend Less on Your Groceries' campaign focuses on everyday low prices, including private label prices, and free same-day delivery on larger orders. This comes at a time when Amazon is finally gaining ground in the CPG market share, with Numerator reporting an 8.1% share for the 12 months ended in June.
This marks a significant shift for Amazon, which has been trying to become a major player in groceries and CPG for years, including its acquisition of Whole Foods Market in 2017. The company has shut down its Fresh and Go stores to focus on expanding Whole Foods and offering same-day grocery delivery in more markets.
Ambitious goals remain ahead, as Amazon still lags behind market leader Walmart, which commands a 20.8% market share. However, with this new campaign, Amazon is bringing humor and relatability to the grocery experience, capturing everyday moments that families know all too well.
