Amazon, Target Among Top Picks from CNBC's Final Trades Segment
Top financial experts on CNBC's 'Final Trades' segment shared their final picks for investors. Kevin Simpson, founder and CIO of Capital Wealth Planning, chose Amazon.com (AMZN) as his top pick. The e-commerce giant recently announced an expanded investment in northwest Louisiana, increasing its planned spending to $18 billion from $12 billion.
The expansion includes a third data center campus in Shreveport, Louisiana. This move is expected to boost the local economy and create new job opportunities.
Another expert, Bryn Talkington of Requisite Capital Management, recommended iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) as her final trade. The fund has gained 6% during the session, following a strong rally in the cryptocurrency market.
Liz Thomas, head of investment strategy at SoFi, suggested iShares Gold Trust (IAU). Meanwhile, Joseph M. Terranova, senior managing director for Virtus Investment Partners, picked Target Corporation (TGT) as his final trade.
Target reported better-than-expected earnings for the second quarter, with quarterly earnings per share of $2.46 beating analyst estimates by 6 cents. The company also raised its FY2026 adjusted EPS guidance from $8.50 to $9.90-$10.90 and increased sales forecast from $108.971 billion to $110.019 billion.
