Amazon Unveils Agentic AI Service for Third-Party Sellers
Amazon has launched a new agentic artificial intelligence service for third-party sellers on its main e-commerce site. The service, known as 'workflows,' is designed to automate tasks such as listing and inventory management. It can also monitor pricing for specific products and alert sellers if their ratings suddenly decline.
The Seller Assistant platform will store each seller's profile to provide custom recommendations for item pricing, promotions, and inventory management. Sellers can connect the agent to AI tools they already use through a plug-in, initially through Amazon's Quick and Anthropic's Claude services.
The new agentic service will be free for any seller to use and optional, said Amazon's Mary Beth Westmoreland, vice president of worldwide selling experience. Sellers can decide how much personal data they share with Amazon through the new service.
