Amazon Unveils Fast East Coast Rail Service for Los Angeles Shipments
Amazon has launched Standard Ocean Express, a new direct rail service that allows businesses to move inventory from Los Angeles to East Coast fulfillment centers faster.
The service is part of Amazon Global Logistics, which includes ocean and air freight services from China, the U.K., European Union, Japan, and Vietnam.
Standard Ocean Express routes users' goods via the Los Angeles port with direct rail to East Coast fulfillment centers, reducing transit times compared to standard routing options.
The service is specifically for Seller Managed Placement bookings, an Amazon Global Logistics service that ships products directly to regional cross-dock facilities.
