Amazon Unveils New Kindles with Flush-Front Designs and Aluminium Backs
Amazon has revamped its line of e-readers, releasing new Kindles that are thinner, lighter, and faster than their predecessors. The entire lineup now features a flush-front design and an aluminium back on the premium versions.
The new Kindles include a $149.99 entry-level model with 16GB of storage and lock screen ads, as well as a $189.99 version with 32GB of storage and no ads.
The pricier versions of the Kindle Paperwhite and Colorsoft now have aluminium backs and are available in new colours, including Seaglass Green and Fig.
However, it's not just about the Kindles themselves - Amazon has also released a range of accessories that offer something new. The Page-Turn Cover is a case for the aluminium-backed Signature Editions of the Paperwhite and Colorsoft, which adds physical page-turn buttons to one side of the device.
The Kindle Click is a Bluetooth remote that allows users to turn pages at the click of a button, rather than tapping on the screen. It will cost $34.99 and ship in November.
