Amazon Unveils New Kindles with Improved Performance and Design
Amazon has released new versions of its popular Kindles, including the base Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kindle Colorsoft. The devices are thinner than their predecessors by a millimeter and offer improved performance, with a 30 percent increase in speed.
The new Kindles feature a power button located on the right edge near the top, rather than at the bottom as before. This change is designed to make it easier for users to access the device's features. The devices are also available in several new colors and materials, including vibrant hues like ube (also known as taro) and aluminum.
The base Kindle starts at $149.99, while the aluminum version costs $189.99. The high-end Signature Edition Paperwhite and Colorsoft models will retail for $249.99 and $319.99, respectively.
