Amazon Unveils New Pocketable Kindles with Improved Displays
Amazon has updated its Kindle e-reader lineup with new models and features. The smallest Kindle yet, weighing just 140 grams, is now available in aluminum and a range of colors. This six-inch device features Amazon's new Change Go display, which promises 30% faster page turns and book-opening speeds.
The new design includes a flush-front redesign and color-matched bodies for all Kindles. The six-inch Kindle starts at $149 with 16GB of storage, while the aluminum version doubles storage to 32GB for $189. All the new models have improved battery life, lasting up to 16 weeks.
The seven-inch Kindle Paperwhite has also been updated with an aluminum option and color-matched upgrades. The Signature Edition includes a more premium stamped aluminum back in Graphite and Seaglass Green, starting at $249 for 32GB of storage. Amazon's Colorsoft model now features a brighter display and improved clarity.
