Amazon Unveils Thinner, More Portable Kindle E-Readers with Enhanced Features
Amazon has unveiled its latest lineup of Kindle e-readers, featuring thinner and more portable designs. The new devices include the 6-inch Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kindle Colorsoft models.
The 6-inch Kindle comes in two storage options: a base model with 16GB for $149.99 and a 32GB version with an aluminum back for $189.99. Both models boast up to 6 weeks of battery life and 30% faster book opening compared to the previous model.
The Kindle Paperwhite offers a larger 7-inch display, adjustable warm light, and longer battery life (up to 12 weeks) for $199.99. The Signature Edition includes 32GB of storage, an aluminum back, auto-adjusting front light, pogo pin dock charging, and double-tap gesture to turn pages for $249.99.
The Kindle Colorsoft uses new display technology to offer 'paper-like color' at a starting price of $289.99 for the Graphite model with 16GB of storage. The Signature Edition is available for $319.99 and features an aluminum housing, 32GB of storage, auto-adjusting front light, pogo pin dock charging, and double-tap gesture to turn pages.
Amazon has also introduced new accessories, including the Kindle Click Bluetooth remote ($34.99), Charging Dock ($59.99), and magnetic Page-Turn cover ($79.99) for the new Kindle Paperwhite and Colorsoft models.
