Amazon Warehouse Workers Launch Strike Over Safety Concerns

Amazon warehouse workers at the SWF1 facility in Rock Tavern, New York went on strike today to protest unfair labor practices.

The workers, represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, are demanding safer working conditions and an end to Amazon's prioritization of profits over safety.

They claim that the company ignores their concerns about conveyor belt speeds, neglect from managers when reporting substandard conditions, and unfair productivity write-ups.

'My co-workers and I are constantly telling Amazon about our safety concerns, but we are always ignored,' said Javier Rivera, a warehouse worker at SWF1. 'That's not only disrespectful to us, it also puts our health and safety at unnecessary risk.'
