Amazon Warrant Prices Qualcomm's AI Commitment at $60 Billion
Qualcomm's shares rose 2.1% to $188.64 on Thursday, following reports that Amazon is deepening their partnership on AI-infrastructure. The collaboration involves custom AI inference silicon and optical connectivity capable of reaching 1.6 terabits per second.
The potential purchasing framework between the two companies could see Amazon eventually buying up to $60 billion worth of Qualcomm's data-center products, with warrants giving Amazon approximately $4 billion in Qualcomm shares at $161.26 each.
Qualcomm's cloud push is seen as a key driver behind the stock's premium valuation, with its GF Value sitting 7.37% above its current price of $175.69. However, market observers are cautioning that the real test lies in whether this potential revenue converts into actual sales rather than remaining an impressive headline number.
