Amazon's Affordable Lawn Aerator Rolls Away Compacted Soil
For those who struggle to aerate their lawns due to compacted soil, Amazon offers an effective solution - the Lawnira Heavy-Duty Push Lawn Aerator Roller. This walk-behind machine is priced at $189.99 and features an adjustable weighted drum with blade-like spikes that can penetrate hard ground.
The aerator's weight can be adjusted by adding sand to the drum, giving it the force needed to loosen compacted soil. Reviewers praise its performance, with 93% of Amazon buyers giving it a 4- or 5-star rating.
One reviewer noted that this machine is ideal for those who have hard, compacted soil and want a reliable solution without breaking the bank. The aerator's extendable T-handle makes it comfortable to use, allowing users to avoid stooping and bending.
However, some reviewers caution that the spike aerator may not be as effective as plug aerators in removing plugs of soil, which can lead to uneven lawn growth. Additionally, pushing a 30- to 60-pound aerator for multiple passes can cause physical strain.
