Amazon's AWS Cloud Business Soars to Record Sales

Amazon's cloud business, AWS, reported strong quarterly results, with sales reaching $42.2 billion, a 37% year-over-year increase.

The company's operating income from AWS was $16.6 billion, and its annualized cloud run rate is now at $169 billion.

Amazon's earnings were also boosted by revaluation gains on equity holdings, including its stake in Anthropic, which accounted for about 66% of the company's earnings.

The company plans to invest over $5 billion in Poland between 2026 and 2028, building an AI-driven smart warehouse and expanding its logistics footprint.
