Amazon’s subsidiary, Bee, has unveiled two new AI-powered personal devices: the Bee Frontier and the Bee Eclipse. The Bee Frontier, priced at $74.99, is a wearable device that can be worn on the wrist or attached to clothing, while the Bee Eclipse, costing $99.99, is a credit-card-sized device that magnetically attaches to the back of a smartphone. These devices are designed to leverage AI to take notes from everyday conversations, creating actionable to-dos, summaries, and insights.
The Bee Frontier will be available in Onyx, Lavender, and Sage, while the Bee Eclipse will come in Silver, Midnight, Honey, and Blush. Both devices use a private computing security architecture that processes audio in real time and deletes it afterward, ensuring that only encrypted transcripts are stored. Users can optionally connect the Bee to Alexa, allowing Echo devices to recognize their voice and record conversations for insights.
Bee devices offer free conversation summaries and 14 days of memory. For $11.99 per month, the Bee Pro subscription provides unlimited conversation summaries, integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+, third-party applications, suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant, and conversation templates. The devices also work with productivity software like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook, enabling tasks such as drafting emails and setting up meetings.
The Bee Frontier is available now on Amazon, with the Bee Eclipse expected to launch soon. Both devices feature a single button for power, an indicator light for conversation summarization, and advanced noise-filtering microphones. The Frontier also boasts IP67 water resistance and up to seven days of battery life.
