Amazon's $Million-Dollar Blunder: Statham Movie Leaks Days Before Release

A major blunder has put Amazon in 'choppy waters' after Jason Statham's new movie Mutiny accidentally leaked on Prime Video days before its release in cinemas.

The action-thriller was set to hit theaters on August 26, but it became available for free on the streaming service earlier this week due to a mistake that posted the whole film on the product detail page, which usually only shows trailers.

Lionsgate, the US distributor, and overseas buyers are reportedly furious about the blunder, with one international buyer calling it 'an unprecedented situation' and warning of 'serious repercussions for distributors.'

Mutiny is directed by Jean-François Richet and stars Statham as a former police officer-turned-bodyguard who is framed for a crime he didn't commit and seeks revenge on board a giant cargo ship.
