Amazon's Pickup Network Expands to Nearly 30,000 Sites Across US
Amazon's stock price dipped by 2.18% on Wednesday despite the company announcing an expansion of its pickup locations to nearly 30,000 sites across the US.
The expanded network includes Amazon Lockers, college campuses, Whole Foods locations, and other sites that allow customers to pick up their orders at a time convenient for them without any additional fees.
The company noted that over 25,000 of these sites are Amazon Lockers, while more than 750 are located on US colleges. The expanded network also includes the option for customers to return unwanted items, with Whole Foods locations among those that offer this service.
The expansion is seen as a boon for Amazon, allowing customers more control over how they receive their packages and providing additional services such as drop-off options without packaging requirements.
