A controversy has erupted in San Diego over Amazon's use of Crown Point Park as a delivery hub, sparking concerns from city officials and labor leaders.

According to social media posts, Amazon vehicles have been using the parking lot at Crown Point Park for delivery operations. However, this practice has raised questions about whether Amazon is following local rules.

Councilmember Sean Elo-Rivera argued that Amazon should be subject to the same regulations as small businesses in the city.

'Every small business in this city pays rent, pays property tax, pulls permits, hires our neighbors,' Elo-Rivera said. 'They've spent years trying to compete with Amazon on an already uneven playing field, and then Amazon takes public land to rig the game even more.'
