Nvidia is still the leader in AI model training chips, but AMD and Broadcom are gaining ground in the inference market.

The inference market is projected to grow at a 32% compound annual growth rate until 2032, reaching $1.3 trillion, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.

Nvidia's CUDA moat, which gave it an edge in AI model training, is not as wide in the inference market, making AMD and Broadcom strong contenders.

AMD has improved its ROCm software platform and made several moves in memory, including acquisitions of MEXT and Taalas, to become a major player in the inference market.
