American Airlines Unveils Luxurious Boeing 777-300ER Refurbishments
American Airlines has started operating refurbished Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which feature a new design inspired by the Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A321XLR. The revamped planes offer luxurious Flagship Suites with privacy doors, chaise lounge-style seats, and larger storage spaces.
The aircraft are configured to provide 70 Flagship Suite seats, 44 Premium Economy seats, and 30 Main Cabin Extra seats, making American Airlines the largest carrier in the US to offer premium seating. Every seat is equipped with a seatback monitor, and complimentary Wi-Fi is provided.
As part of the refurbishment, American Airlines will discontinue sales of Flagship First on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for travel from November 19 onward. The introduction of Flagship Suites also signals the end of Flagship First on U.S. transcontinental routes for travel from March 28, 2027.
