American Express CFO Sees 'Really Well' Performance Amid Inflation Concerns
American Express CFO Christophe Le Caillec expressed confidence in the company's performance during the Barclays Annual Global Financial Services Conference.
Citing strong billing growth, Le Caillec stated that 'business is doing really well,' with eight to nine percent billing growth over the last three to four quarters, including a stronger Q2. Card fees were up 16% year to date, and net interest income (NII) was in double digits.
American Express reaffirmed its earnings per share (EPS) range, which does not include the expected gain from selling Global Business Travel (GBT) shares. The company has yet to disclose how it will use the proceeds from this sale.
