American Express Debuts First European Centurion Lounge in Amsterdam
American Express has expanded its luxury travel offerings with the opening of a new Centurion Lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The lounge, which debuted on September 17, 2026, is located between Concourses E and F and spans approximately 560 square meters. This marks the 33rd Centurion Lounge globally and the first in Europe, catering to the growing number of premium travelers passing through the airport.
The lounge's design draws inspiration from Dutch art, landscapes, and culture, featuring a color palette of blue, green, and earth tones that reflect Amsterdam's scenic canals. The interior combines black quartzite, brass accents, and wood with floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize natural light. Artworks by Dutch artists are prominently displayed, adding a cultural touch to the space.
Guests can enjoy a seasonal buffet menu highlighting ingredients from the Netherlands and across Europe. The Blue Roast Coffee Bar offers locally sourced coffee, while a full bar serves beer and cocktails. The seating options include armchairs, café tables, high tables, booths, quiet workspaces, and group seating. Additional amenities include private restrooms, phone booths, power outlets, USB ports, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.
The Centurion Lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol operates from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., providing a comfortable and stylish retreat for travelers. This new addition underscores American Express's commitment to enhancing the travel experience for its premium cardholders.
