American Express Expands Grants Program for Independent Restaurants
American Express and the IDA Foundation have launched the Backing International Small Restaurants grants program for its fifth year, which will award more than $1.5 million to over 100 independent restaurants across nine countries.
The program has expanded from five cities in five countries to 15 cities across nine countries since 2022, and is now available in Italy for the first time.
The grants support small, independent restaurants as they grow and recover, with funding going towards investments that strengthen their operations and long-term resilience.
