Manchester has become an attractive hub for American Express Global Business Travel, which has just signed a lease for a new office in the city's Freetrade building. The company will occupy 5,422 square feet of fully fitted space on the third floor, marking its consolidation presence in Manchester.

The move comes after a recent refurbishment of the Freetrade building, which now boasts modern amenities and improved sustainability credentials. Ben Tolhurst, asset management director at Clearbell Capital, commented that the letting demonstrates established businesses' preference for heritage properties with green features.

American Express Global Business Travel's head of HR for UK and Ireland, Sophie Davies, stated that Manchester has become one of the UK's most dynamic technology hubs, making it an ideal location for the company to expand its operations. The new office space is designed to support the growing team and foster productivity.
