Lil Durk's Trial Enters Critical Phase as Prosecutors Present Key Evidence
Lil Durk's trial began on a somber note as prosecutors presented key evidence linking him to the 2022 shooting that killed his cousin, Lul Pab. According to the prosecution, the incident was retaliation for the killing of OTF member King Von. The Chicago rapper's close circle, including girlfriend India Royale and father Dontay 'Big Durk' Banks, were in attendance to support him.
Prosecutors allege that Lil Durk orchestrated the attempt to kill Quando Rondo, who was allegedly targeted due to his connection to King Von's death. However, defense attorney pointed to OTF Vonnie as a central figure in the alleged crimes. Surveillance footage showed a Nissan Infiniti and BMW, both rentals, allegedly connected to the incident.
Prosecutors also presented 911 call recordings from an eyewitness who witnessed the shooting that killed Lul Pab in Los Angeles. LAPD Sheriff's Deputy Luis Cavillo testified about finding Lul Pab taking his final breaths after being shot inside a vehicle.
The court heard testimony about GPS data, speed and directional information from the BMW, as well as flights to Los Angeles and San Diego purchased using an American Express card allegedly connected to Durk. Additionally, prosecutors presented evidence of a rental home in Encino booked by Lil Durk's manager, Ola Ali.
