Amex Drops Two Services for Indian Cardholders

American Express is making some changes for its Indian cardholders.

The company will discontinue two services in the country: 'Check Your Spending Power' and Emergency Card Replacement.

The 'Check Your Spending Power' feature, which allowed customers to see if a transaction would go through, will be removed on September 16, 2026. Customers can still use their cards as usual.

The Emergency Card Replacement service, which provided quick replacements for lost or stolen cards, will be replaced with the standard service, taking around 7-10 business days to process.
