Amex Gold Card Gets Major Travel Perks Boost

Amex Gold Card holders are now enjoying enhanced travel perks and credits as part of an update by American Express. One key benefit is earning 5x Membership Rewards points on prepaid hotel bookings through Amex Travel, in addition to gaining complimentary Hertz Five Star status.

The card also offers dining credits totaling $120 annually across Grubhub, Resy, Dunkin', and Uber, although enrollment is required for each platform. Points can be accrued at 4x on restaurants and U.S. supermarkets up to certain annual caps.

Other features include no foreign transaction fees, purchase protections, and 24/7 member support. Users can also split large purchases via Plan It or pay small amounts via Pay It while still earning rewards.
